A SPECIAL THANK YOU !!

Thank the you from the crew at Springfield Cars-Soldier Mailing. We were so pleased to receive the proceeds check from the Annual Frozen Open event held around the lake on January 13 with twelve clubs participating. Our appreciation to this years host club, The Blue Ridge Club, for allowing us to have our informational display available for the participants to see what we are all about.

The twelve participating clubs included: The Blue Ridge Club, The Elks Lodge 158, the Anchor Boat Club, Sangamo Surf Club, The Springfield Motorboat Club, the Aqua Club, Firefighters/Postal Club, KC Club, The TRN Club, Lake Press Club, The Prop Club, and the Springfield Ski and Boat Club. Each of these organizations played an important role in the success of this Annual event, which raised over $6000.00 for the Springfield Cares- Soldier Mailing Project. Without the support of these clubs, and the many volunteers the 10 years of mailing "goody boxes" to our service personnel serving in harms way would never have been possible. Postage costs range from $350-450 per month depending on the number of boxes shipped, which means we have enough to cover another years postage. Thank you all for making this possible.

We would not want to miss an opportunity to remind all that we meet at 6:00pm on the third Tuesday of each month to assemble our packages. Please join us whenever you can, and remember if you have a Service Member serving in harms way, we will be honored to send them a little love from home by way or our package
