Thanksgiving Mailing

What a great mailing we had on Tuesday evening - Postage this month was paid for by the American Legion post No. 32. Thank you so much for your donation! Dar O'Dell from the Anchor Club, brought over several bags of donated items! Springfield Cares Soldier Mailing was drawn at their club for one of the charity organizations to give for the Christmas Holidays. Thank you so much Anchor for your very generous donations. With Anchors donations, we had enough 'goodies' to mail to our 4 soldier's (20 boxes) We also had a guest, Mary, from the Anchor Club, who came out and helped pack boxes. Mary also took in the do's and don'ts on packing boxes, so that she can take this information back to her club, as the Anchor is considering on starting their own packing to our 'Hero's' serving our Country !! Wouldn't that just be so awesome !! I told Mary, that we would be happy to help get them started. We had several hand drawn Thanksgiving cards from the Cathedral School, which was put in each box we mailed !! and we have many more Christmas cards to mail at our next mailing. Our next mailing will be held Tuesday evening on December 17th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Club A big thanks also goes out to those who donated items to the Washington, IL tornado victims.
